Country

Venezuela

Regional and municipal ordinary renewals were held in May and July 2025. Constitutional articles 160, 162 and 174 provide four-year subnational executive/legislative terms; municipal law article 82, amended in Gazette 6.015 of 28 December 2010, retains four-year mayor/council terms. These support an ordinary 2029 cycle outside the fixed window. The Assembly catalog lists the municipal law as in force. The 2010 Gazette reproduction was used to read article 82 because the Assembly scan had no extractable text. Current exceptional or transition-related calls remain unverified; zero imported offices is not a claim that no early election can be called.
